Project Overview
Product
This project focuses on redesigning the Snapchat mobile app signup flow. Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app where users share photos, videos, and stories. The primary goal of this redesign was to create a simpler, faster, and more engaging signup experience, especially for new users.
Users
Young adults and teenagers (13–29 years old)
Product Type
Social media / messaging app
Problem
Through a detailed evaluation of Snapchat’s existing signup UI, I found a number of UX issues that could lead to user frustration and drop-offs. These included unclear progress indicators, minimal error feedback, inconsistent button states, and lack of personalization. These insights informed my redesign choices to create a smoother, more accessible, and user-guided signup journey
Goal
Make the signup flow short and intuitive
Introduce progressive disclosure (only show necessary fields per step)
Enable easy social login options (e.g., Google)
Enhance feedback during form filling (validation, success states)
Align design with Snapchat's fun and minimal visual brand
